  • Approved the 2005-06 Coastal Habitat Protection Plan annual report.

  • Granted a variance to B&D Investments, LLC of New Hanover County, who sought relief from the commission’s riparian setback rules in order to construct a pier within the 15-foot setback from an adjacent property owner’s area of riparian access.
  • Denied a variance to Coral Bay Ridge, LLC of Carteret County, who sought relief from the commission’s 30-foot buffer rule in order to construct a single-family residence on a lot in Atlantic Beach.

·         Denied a variance to Margaret Laneave of Brunswick County, who sought relief from the commission’s 30-foot buffer rule in order to construct a single-family residence on a lot in Ocean Isle Beach.
