Hunter workshops scheduled for N.C. Coastal Reserve Northern Sites

KITTY HAWK, N.C. – The North Carolina Coastal Reserve and the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, will hold two hunter workshops for the reserve’s Northern Sites (Buxton Woods, Kitty Hawk Woods, and Currituck Banks).  

The workshops will include a review of reserve rules and changes since the last hunting season, opportunities for participation in wildlife research, an overview of state and local hunting regulations, and a presentation by a WRC wildlife biologist. 

Workshops are scheduled for the following dates:

Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve and Currituck Banks component of the N.C. National Estuarine Research Reserve

Buxton Woods Coastal Reserve and WRC Game Lands
Date:               Sept. 9
Time:               6–7:30 p.m.
Location:         Buxton Fire Department
                      Highway 12, West of Lighthouse Road intersection, Buxton.
