N.C. Coastal Resources Commission Cancels Sept. 2 Sandbag Workshop Due to Storm Threat

RALEIGH – Due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Earl, the N.C. Coastal Resources Commission has decided to cancel a Sept. 2 workshop intended to discuss the current status of rules governing sandbag use on the N.C. oceanfront.

The meeting had been scheduled for 1 p.m., Sept. 2 in the Soil and Water auditorium at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Office at 300 Industrial Drive in New Bern.

The meeting will be rescheduled for a later date.
