Public Meetings on Coastal Reserves Scheduled
RALEIGH The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will hold three public meetings in December to receive comments on the operation and management of the North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserves.
The federal agency is holding the meetings in conjunction with its periodic review of the four North Carolina sites that are part of the National Estuarine Research Reserve program: Currituck Banks on the Outer Banks, Rachel Carson near Beaufort, and Masonboro Island and Zekes Island near Wilmington.
Each meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The schedule follows:
