This map shows natural areas in the region around the lower Cape Fear River.  The colored areas have been protected in their natural state.  They are owned by the government or by conservation groups.  They include Coastal Reserve sites (green), State Parks (pink), City Parks (red), County Parks (brown), land owned by the U.S. government (yellow), and land owned by conservation groups (orange).

1.  How many Coastal Reserves are there on this map?  Can you name them?

2. What is the name of the largest piece of land owned by the U.S. government on this map?
