have been protected in their natural state.
They are owned by the government or by conservation
groups. They include Coastal Reserve sites
(green), State Parks (pink), City Parks (red),
County Parks (brown), land owned by the U.S.
government (yellow), and land owned by conservation
groups (orange). To practice reading the map, see
if you can answer these questions: 1. How
many Coastal Reserves are there on this map? Can you name them? 2. What is
the name of the largest piece of land owned by the
U.S. government on this map? 3. The only two
City Parks on this map are in the city of
Wilmington. Can you name them?
